February Events in Saskatoon 2019

February Events in Saskatoon 2019

This February, woo your Valentine – or yourself – with local entertainment that’s a step above average. The month of love is upon us!

Around our house, we like to keep the chocolates and flowers low-key (or non-existent) and put more $$ towards experiences in and around the city. Skim through February events in Saskatoon 2019 and you’re bound to find something special you’ll both remember.

Alternatively, there are plenty of activities for those riding solo including anti-Valentine’s Day parties to celebrate your independence and the act of being single by choice.

Between monster trucks, fibre-fuelled workshops, snow festivals, Snoop Dogg, sloths, and more – you’ll have date planning locked down for the next 28 days. Look for details to all of these events in the massive monthly listing below. Check the Do Sask Facebook group for daily updates.

Do Sask events this February include Speed Dating for 24 & Up, Speed Dating for 20 & Up, and the free monthly Book Club meeting. Join in on the fun!

January Events in Saskatoon 2019

Events in January Saskatoon 2019

Ten years ago, living in Saskatoon in the dead of winter used to sound a death knell on my social life. When the thermometer dipped below -30, I began the annual ritual of recounting why I chose to live here full-time again. Can you blame me? The last thing you’d want to do is put on 7 layers to venture out for some mediocre entertainment.

But fast forward a decade and Saskatoon is becoming a place that makes bundling up in the middle of winter worthwhile. Think Iceland, but much cheaper. The city has invested thousands of dollars into flipping the perception that cold equals no fun. So this month, throw on your coat and toque to head out into the frost for a while. Just make sure you find a place to warm up in between adventures.

This January, attend music festivals, stand-up comedy, spicy dance lessons, science & tech showcases and more. Look for details to all of these events in the massive monthly listing below. Check the Do Sask Facebook group for daily updates.

September Events in Saskatoon 2018

September in Saskatoon 2018

September has to be one of the most beautiful times of the year in the Saskatoon region. Once the leaves start to change colour, you’ll see a cascade of golds along the Meewasin Valley (around the second last week of the month). On top of the fall sightseeing you can do for free outdoors, the city has its standby outdoor markets – like the Broadway and 33rd Street Fairs – along with fall suppers, fireworks, and other unique art & culture activities.

This month, find Do Sask at both the Broadway Street Fair and at the Saskatchewan Entertainment Expo (the latter involves a geek-only speed dating event). Look for details to all of these events in the massive monthly listing below. Check the Do Sask Facebook group for daily updates.
